COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION OF THE JESKE HOUSE.

Rehabilitating an old town house, located in the old town of Biar, at the foot of its castle, and maintaining its traditional charm was the objective proposed by its owners. A section of medieval wall forms part of the façade and it was essential to value this architectural element as an integral part of the interior of the house.

We opted for the open spaces full of charm that invite you to enjoy the “slow life” and the refuge that its inhabitants have always dreamed of. The metal staircase, like a sculpture, runs through the three floors. Other spaces of great value in the house are the cellar carved out of the rock and the patio, a unique space with great charm that enjoys the recovery of the past with the present wall.

Hydraulic mosaics, wood, stone… carefully chosen and recovered materials, creating a balanced base to play with the details to add color.

A fundamental part was to provide the house with good thermal insulation, high-quality windows in both profiles and glass and energy-efficient facilities, fundamental qualities to guarantee the comfort of users.

The lighting combines recovered elements with new ones and the careful choice of furniture turn this house into a true treasure of a unique character.
