COMPREHENSIVE REFORM OF SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE.
The project consists of the rehabilitation and interior design of an isolated single-family house. We find an old residence, totally obsolete, on a plot with a garden, well oriented and with many possibilities.
The challenge was to relate interior and exterior integrating the house with the plot, keeping the existing structure to the maximum, but giving a radical twist to the final image and the spaces. The result is a much more open, modern and functional housing concept, enhancing the connection with the exterior and natural light.
The previous compartmentalized rooms are converted into vertebrate spaces by a central paneled volume of wood that adds character to the interior and in turn allows us to hide large storage spaces.
In the living room, a piece of furniture was designed to integrate the fireplace, which functions as the main piece of a large space, that has been conceived to live it, spacious and serene. Open spaces predominate in the day area, connected to each other and only separated by glass and sliding doors. In the kitchen, with a central island, the brightness of white has been combined with the neutrality of taupe.
In a house with these characteristics, it is essential to focus on the details that make it up in order to create a timeless design. The colors and textures of the materials create that union of atmospheres that add personality to the home.
